ALFEA 2017 Office Bearers

Deshamannya A.L.A. Hazzam is the President elected at the 29th Annual General Meeting held on 10th August, 2017 in Colombo. He was born in Kurunegala and started his career as an English Teacher. Later he worked in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a Language Translator in a Recruitment Company. In 1996, Mr. Hazzam stepped into recruitment industry and established "AL AKEEM ENTERPRISES (PVT)LTD" He is the founder and chairman of the company. Deshamanya A.L.A. Hazzam is an active social worker. He was giving leadership for WELFARE ASSOCIATION OF WAYAMBA FOREIGN EMPLOYMENT AGENTS for many years and he has been the President of many association's functions in Kurunegala.

His Vision, being President of ALFEA , is to uplift the recruitment industry and to bring all the agents in the country under the mother association developing the image and the recognition of the recruiting agents locally and internationally.

Mr. Mohamed Farook Mohamed Arshad is the Managing Director of Ibrahim Group of companies, he is SLBFE director of board members, Former Expo member of ALFEA where he served for 4 years, Old Boy of Zahira College (Colombo), Assistant Treasurer of OBA Zahira College and is also CIMA Qualified.

Mr. Thaha M.B.Zaman (All Island JP) , is the Chairman/Managing Director of Asialink International (PVT) Ltd, a pioneer and leading government approved manpower agency in Sri Lanka formerly known as 'M/S Arabian Star’
Mr. Zaman joined the trade soon after his A/L’s in 1980 and has been in the industry for the last 37 years.
Mr. Zaman was elected to serve as the treasurer of ALFEA in 1999, 2001-2007 and now re-elected as treasurer to serve the trade. He also has the distinction of being an All Island Justice of Peace.

Mr. Lanka Vijitha Kumara is the Managing Director of Thisarani Travels &Tours. He has an experience of 25 years in the recruiting field and he is also Member of the Pradeshiya Sabha of Kelani. Mr. L has been honored with the title Deshabandu for meritorious service to his community and is also an all Island JP.

Mr. Tiran Kumara Rathnayake is the owner of Kaushalya Foreign Employment Agency. Mr. Tiran has been in the trade for over 15 years. He has been a member of Sri Lanka United Nations Friendship Organization (SUNFO) since 2004. Mr. Tiran is an All Island JP and has served as the Secretary of the Association Of Wayamba Foreign Employment Agents for more than ten years and is currently serving as the patron of the same Association.
Mr.Tiran is also the Divisional Manager of UNP in Polgahawela and serves as the President of The Civil Security Committee in Polgahawela division as well. Currently, He serves in the capacity of Vice Secretary at ALFEA. Mr. Tiran has also been a member of the Board of Directors in Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) in the past.

Mr. Abdul Careem Yahiyakhan is the Managing Director of Hazmea Careems Direct World Agency and has been part of the recruitment business for the last 15 years. Mr. YahyaKhan is also the treasurer of Muslim Congress of Ampara District and is an important Member of the High Command.
Mr.Yahya Khan is a member of the Urban Development Authority (UDA) and is also on the Board of Directors at On'ally Holdings Ltd in the capacity of Non- Executive Director.

Mr. Nihal Susil Wijeyawardana started his career as a Banker.
Later on he shifted into recruitment and started his own Company(Asha Recruiting) in 1990.
During his tenure of service in the above industry he has been a very active and loyal member of ALFEA since 1997.

Mr. Mohamed Thasleem Mahamood is the Chairman of TGL Holdings, a diversified recruitment and technology company. Human resources recruitment has been the core business of TGL since its inception in 1990. Trans Gulf is the recruitment brand of TGL and has
enjoyed success globally for the last 27 years.

Mr. C. Wigneshwaram is the Managing Director of Harrens Manpower (PVT) LTD which is recognized as a successful and efficient recruiting agency by agents in Sri Lanka and also has an agency branch located overseas. Mr. Vigneshwaram has been in the trade of recruitment for over 10 years and has been a committed and loyal member of ALFEA. He currently serves as a committee member of ALFEA.
