Message From the Secretary of ALFEA

It is a privilege to issue a message on the occasion as the Secretary of Association of Licensed Foreign Employment Agencies (ALFEA). Sri Lanka is now facing more challenges in the development sector after the end of terrorism that existed for over three decades which also deprived our country in achieving the targets anticipated and the deterioration in economic development.

Sri Lanka is still capable of granting a the better and economic environment for its citizen overcoming these challenges with earning of migrant worker community who are the real breadwinners of the nation.

in this endeavor, the contribution by the licensed Foreign Employment Agent is not second to any other collective efforts. The Association of Licensed Foreign Employment Agencies managed to record the highest (net) foreign Exchange income to our country making immense.

Contribution to the development process of Sri Lanka which is praiseworthy. 

Therefore, in recognition of the role played by the migrant workers to the economy of Sri Lanka, I am pleased to wish all fellow ALFEA Members best wishes as secretary of the Association of Licensed Foreign Employment Agencies (ALFEA)a very prosperous 2019.
